Catalog description

This course will provide an introduction to the design and analysis of stochastic systems. Upon completing this course, each student will be able to: develop an understanding of the applications of probability and statistics to engineering problems, develop systems models and recommend improvements based on the stochastic analysis of the system, develop an understanding of how the stochastic nature of systems impact business and industry, and use computer applications in the solutions of engineering problems. In addition, this class should also assist students in improving their problem-solving skills and their ability to communicate effectively.
