Project Management for Systems Change

Catalog description

This course will enable the student to gain an understanding of the mechanics of guiding a project from the initiation phase through project implementation and, finally, termination. The class will focus on the application of project management tools to projects, including the role of technology and the balance between cost, schedule, and technical performance. Additionally, the course will examine the role of the engineer as a team leader and facilitator. The students will develop skills through leadership and facilitation opportunities as presented in class and during class projects.
