Catalog description

This course presents a synopsis of US history from the period of the earliest English settlement through the United States Civil War. The course examines significant political, social, and constitutional events that have shaped our national heritage during this period. The principal focus of the course is upon the development of sectional communities and the conflicts between those sections that ultimately led to the Civil War.
