Catalog description

One half of this course introduces the analysis, modeling, and design of potable water distribution systems. Topics include water security, water demand, water supply, and the design and analysis of piping networks, pump stations, valves, and water towers. The other half of this course introduces the analysis, modeling, design, and rehabilitation of sewage collection systems. Topics include the horizontal and vertical layout of sewers and water mains in roadways, scour, pump stations, force mains, disaggregation of flow components in meter data, and modeling of wet weather flow.
