First Year Seminar- Computing

Catalog description

This seminar course introduces students to concepts and strategies that support success in programming courses. Weekly meetings will include panel discussions from current students, alumni, faculty, and industry representatives. Students will learn about the differences between computing majors, minors, and other potential curricular pathways. Other topics will include study and time management strategies, problem solving, where and how to find help, advising and registration, internships and careers, and many more topics.
