Catalog description

This course develops students’ ability to manage and evaluate the financial performance of construction projects and construction firms. Emphasis is placed on cost accounting systems, financial reporting, pro forma formulation, cash flow management, earned value analysis, and revenue forecasting as applied to project-level and enterprise-level decision-making. Students analyze contractor financial statements, assess risk and bonding capacity, develop project budgets and financial projections, and evaluate time value of money. Ethical financial management, internal controls, and fraud prevention are integrated throughout the course to prepare students for leadership roles in construction organizations.
