Catalog description

This course focuses on the planning and management of construction jobsite operations with an emphasis on equipment selection, jobsite logistics, and field execution strategies. Students analyze mass grading operations, develop site layout and logistical control plans, and evaluate equipment applications for excavation, heavy civil work, enclosure systems, and crane operations. Economic decision-making is emphasized through internal rental rate development, buy-lease-rent analysis, maintenance management, and repair-replace evaluations. Students develop and implement value-driven jobsite management strategies that address erosion control, seasonal conditions, construction in occupied environments, and jobsite safety while optimizing cost, schedule, and operational performance.
