Organic Chemistry II Laboratory

Catalog description

This laboratory-only course has been designed together with CHM 2210 (Organic Chemistry I) and CHM 2220 (Organic Chemistry II) to fulfill the organic chemistry requirements for admission to medical school, dental school, pharmacy school, and graduate programs. The main objective of this laboratory course is to give the students a feel for how advanced organic chemistry is carried out in practice. The experiments will employ the basic experimental practices learned during organic chemistry I, the concepts learned in organic chemistry II and are applied towards the synthesis of complex organic compounds and improving the understanding of reaction mechanisms.
