Catalog description

This course applies the principles of transport phenomena and thermodynamics to the design and characterization of large-scale batch and continuous bioseparation processes. Graphical and numerical techniques are used in the design and scale-up of associated process equipment. The general steps involved in the working of various unit operations are studied. Problems are drawn from the bio-processing industries and applications.
