Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of planning systems critical to effective production and inventory management across manufacturing, distribution, and service environments. The course covers key principles and tools in demand management, material requirements planning (MRP), master scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control. Students will gain practical knowledge of demand management, supply planning, and execution techniques essential for optimizing supply chain performance and supporting integrated business operations. This course will utilize AI and advanced analytics in demand planning, and inventory operations; highlighting how digital tools are transforming traditional operations and supply chain functions. Applied AI Integration: This course meets or exceeds MSOE’s Applied AI Integration guidelines for sufficient coverage of Practical Application.
