Building upon prior study of mechanical building systems, students apply principles of fluid mechanics and engineering analysis to size, lay out, and specify plumbing systems that protect public health, safety, and welfare. An integrated term-long design project provides experience developing coordinated plumbing system layouts, performing system calculations, selecting equipment, and preparing technical specifications consistent with contemporary professional practice.
