Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the Actuarial Science profession. The course topics include various facets of the actuarial profession, actuarial terminology, as well as fundamental concepts of sets and combinatorics. Actuaries from different companies in the area make presentations to class. In addition, students may shadow actuaries at different cooperating companies to observe a typical day of an actuary.
