Catalog description

This lecture/lab course defines properties of welded materials and performs the tests to measure those properties. Applicable AWS procedures and codes are examined and applied to the tests. Tests performed include tensile, bends and cross sections as well as others. The course also covers evaluating failure modes to determine applicable code compliance.
