Intro Operational Engineering

Catalog description

This course is a survey of basic television systems and equipment that embraces the technologies and techniques of video operations associated with broadcast stations, studio and remote productions, and professional TV approaches to transmission of audio and video content. It introduces the student to engineering concepts associated with video cameras, AV files, signal flow and operational understanding, incorporating broadcast engineering approaches. Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted to the Television and Video Production program (10-701-1) or the TV/Video Studio Production Assistant program (31-701-2). Complete TV-101. Completion of or currently enrolled in TV-105 and TV-121.
