Catalog description

This class will prepare students to write the American Society of Power Engineers Facility Operating 2nd class licensing exam. The High Pressure Boiler class will also prepare students to recognize boiler terminology, comprehend feedwater, steam, fuel and draft systems. Students will learn heat transfer principles using air heaters, shell and tube heat exchangers, steam, and radiant heat. Basic electricity, boiler operation, water treatment programs, cooling towers, traps, strainers and burner management systems.
