Observational Astronomy

This course is designed to provide hands-on experience in the application of the laws of physics to astronomy. Using computers, as well as other technological instruments in the field of astronomy, students observe phenomena and experience astronomical events. This course focuses on identification of the tools of astronomy and their use in solving basic problems in astronomical theory. This laboratory should be taken only in conjunction with, or subsequent to, PHYS-225.
