Building on MUSIC-104, Major Instrument 3 emphasizes exploration of varied musical styles and refinement of performance skills, preparing students for the demands of professional work. Students engage with diverse projects that encourage interpretation, creativity and adaptability — qualities expected in the music industry. The applied studies foster independence in preparation, confidence in presentation and leadership within group performance settings, all framed as essential competencies for a career in the trade. Study available on: bass, brass, drum, guitar, mallets, organ, piano, voice and woodwinds. Prerequisite(s): Complete MUSIC-104, MUSIC-178 or MUSIC-193.
