Standards In this case study-based course, students will learn about legal and ethical health-related concepts including: HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, EMTALA, HITECH Act, Stark and Anti- Kickback laws, as well as the informed consent process, fraud, professional credentialing, malpractice and negligence. Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent required.
