Catalog description

Compliance Learners investigate the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) to ensure the rights, welfare and privacy of all individuals participating in biomedical and/or behavioral studies. Topics include foundations and concepts of Institutional Research Board (IRB) practices, legal constructs, operational functions and documentation practices. Students will also be introduced to quantitative and interpretive research methods, as well as bioethical applications and case studies. Prerequisite(s): Instructor consent required.
