Recruiting and Selection

Catalog description

In this course, students will learn the importance of effective recruitment and selection processes as related to organizational effectiveness, sustainability and competitive advantage. Students will gain an understanding of the role of human HOTEL – HUMSVC resource management in strategic planning (specifically as it relates or links to employment and workforce planning). Emphasis will be placed on the recruitment process, recruitment budget and critical steps in the selection process, selection assessments, interviewing and compliance with state and federal employment laws, regulatory agencies, and internal company policies.
