Catalog description

This course introduces the principles and process of design thinking, a user-centered approach to innovation that integrates empathy, creativity and analytical reasoning. Students will learn to analyze behaviors, identify user needs and opportunity areas, generate and prototype ideas, and test solutions through iterative scenario development. Emphasis is placed on project-based learning through the creation of an interactive app from concept inception and interaction modeling to high-fidelity interface design and a storytelling-style pitch presentation.
