Echo Clinical Procedures

Catalog description

This course provides students with their first opportunity to observe and gain hands-on experience in a healthcare facility. Under direct supervision in the hospital setting, students will observe and participate in a variety of echocardiographer responsibilities, developing an understanding of professional practice in a clinical environment. In addition to clinical rotations, students are required to attend weekly on-campus lectures, discussions and skill labs that reinforce clinical concepts and professional skills. Written documentation reflecting the clinical phase of instruction will be required.
