Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation 2

Catalog description

This course continues the study of ultrasound physics and instrumentation with application to cardiac sonography. Students build on foundational concepts while exploring Doppler ultrasound, scanning techniques and equipment operation. The clinical lab component provides hands-on experience with instrumentation, Doppler applications, image optimization and basic equipment care. This course prepares students to apply physics principles directly to echocardiographic practice. Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted to the Cardiovascular Technology – Echocardiography program (10-521-2). Complete CVTECH-105.
