Techniques of Sound Recording

Catalog description

Studio recording is the focus of this course. Microphone selection and placement, signal flow, and signal processing during tracking and mixing will have a central focus in lecture and lab hours. Using Pro Tools and Logic, students will record voice, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass and acoustic drums. The class culminates with recording and mixing a live band. Prerequisite(s): Completion of or currently enrolled in AUDIO-100.
