Catalog description

This course introduces the student to 3D computer drafting and BIM (building information modeling) using Revit software. It builds on students’ base knowledge of industry- standard working drawings and construction materials as the basis for developing Revit models. The student will learn how to construct parametric drawings for a building or structure, including plans, elevations and sections, as well as axonometric views. Annotation strategies, such as dimensioning and text, will also be covered. Employing title block templates and sheet composition, students will prepare industry-standard drawing sets for presentation.
