Catalog description

Students will learn the art of auditioning. Actors will learn to research, select appropriate pieces, and apply acting and movement techniques to monologues. Students will create high-quality monologue packages to use in both classical and contemporary auditions. Singers may pair songs with their monologues. Students must apply to and attend Southeastern Theatre Conference Tennessee Screening auditions or another professional audition with permission of the instructor. Prerequisite: THEA 245 or 341. Offered fall term each year Three semester hours.
