Catalog description

This is an intensive lab class. Students will be introduced to the Sanford Meisner technique with a designated Meisner teacher. Students will learn Sanford Meisner’s foundational exercises; character relationship, impulses, moment-to-movement work, and most importantly, living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. Techniques will be applied to both monologues and scenes. Prerequisite: THEA 242, Acting 1. Offered spring term each year. Three semester hours.
