Catalog description

This course surveys both financial practices and economic theory in the sport industry. Topics include: demand and sports revenue, team cost, profit and winning, the value of sports talent, the history of player pay, subsidies and economic impact analysis, and the economics of stadium financing, as well as budgeting, financial analysis and management, funding sources, and sport industry financial trends. Offered fall term each year. Three semester hours.
