Catalog description

An introduction to the theories of counseling and psychotherapy with some concentration on practicing the skills that constitute the counseling process. Class members observe and practice applications and implementation of techniques in the therapeutic process. The course encourages a balanced view of the major contributions, strengths, and limitations of various therapies. Offered spring term even years. Three semester hours.
