An examination of the individual within a social context. The course covers current psychological theories regarding how people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors are influenced by the actual, imagined or implied presence of others. Topics include self-concept, social cognition, social influence, and social relationships. Offered fall and spring term each year. Three semester hours.
