An introduction to the multifaceted Chinese society through key topics in Chinese history, religion, economic reforms and development, political systems and governments, international relations, energy and environment, and social issues. This course is designed to develop an understanding and working knowledge of key concepts, events, and systems that shape and transform China in its political, economic, and cultural life.
