Catalog description
This course is the first of three courses designed to develop a logical way for students to assess disease processes and disorders. Students will develop the ability to form a differential diagnosis based on a patient’s presenting complaints, signs, and symptoms. Students will also develop an understanding of appropriate uses for diagnostic testing including clinical laboratory, radiographic, EKG testing, and other diagnostic testing or imaging studies that may be appropriate in the diagnosis and management of a patient. Offered summer term each year. Two semester hours.
