Catalog description

An occupations-based approach to the theory and practice of occupational therapy with adults with neurological conditions. The course includes screening, selection and provision of assessments, evaluation, intervention planning, implementation of evidence-based interventions and discontinuation of services. Collaboration with interprofessionals and caregivers will be discussed. Assistive technologies for use in physical rehabilitation settings will be explored. Incorporates Level I Fieldwork experiences. Prerequisites: 501, 531 532, 535, and 643. Offered spring term each year. Three semester hours.
