Nursing Leadership and Management

Catalog description

An examination of nursing care within a rapidly changing health care delivery system. Leadership skills and management strategies necessary for appropriate and effective holistic nursing care are explored and analyzed. The use of outcome measures to promote quality and cost-effective health care in various organizations and health care delivery systems is emphasized. Prerequisites: NURS403/403C and 410/410C. Co-requisite: NURS 420P. Offered spring term each year. Three semester hours; three clock hours.
