Catalog description

A laboratory course focusing on the introduction and development of competencies required for instituting independent and collaborative nursing interventions. Skills will be introduced in structured laboratory and simulated patient care experiences encountered in the delivery of safe and effective care of adult patient populations. Opportunities to test and use the nursing process as a critical thinking and problem-solving tool are provided. Professionalism, safety, development of interprofessional relationships, and the nurse’s role as member of the interdisciplinary health care team will be emphasized. Co-requisite: NURS 210. Offered fall term each year. One semester hour, three clock hours.
