Catalog description

A course open to all students considering entry into health care related professions. This course is a self- paced course designed to assist students to identify and define the root words, suffixes, prefixes, and combining forms commonly found in medical terminology. Student learning activities and exercises are utilized to assist students to remember significant concepts and to understand the meaning of new words by defining the elements contained within them. Offered every term. Three semester hours; three clock hours.
