Catalog description

A study of transcendental functions, their differentiation and integration, formal integration, the conics, Taylor’s formula, and infinite series. Prerequisite: C- or better in MATH 211. Offered spring term each year. Four semester hours. MATH 213/213M. Statistics - A study of data analysis and statistical inference. Topics include descriptive statistics, an introduction to probability, continuous and discrete random variables, probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and linear regression and correlation. Prerequisite: High school algebra or equivalent. MATH 213 and/or 213M offered every term. Three semester hours.
