Catalog description
An in-depth look at JavaScript, the programming language of the web. This course covers the language in detail including conditional statements, functions, scope, arrays, loops, iterators, objects, classes, and DOM manipulation. We will also cover the tools used by JavaScript developers and use them to develop a modern front-end web app. Knowledge of HTML and CSS is recommended but not required. Knowledge of basic programming concepts is recommended. Prerequisite: CS 211 or previous programming experience. Suggested prerequisites: IS 218. Offered fall term odd years. Three semester hours.
