Catalog description

An intermediate course studying the design, history, and fundamentals of using letterforms and typography as applied to graphic design and visual communication. Design projects will cover the principles of typography as an essential skill for a graphic designer. Students will build skills in typeface choice and application, creation, manipulation, and building a hierarchy of information. Prerequisites: GRDS 256 or consent of instructor. Offered spring term even years. Three semester hours.
