Catalog description

This course explores the development of the English language through linguistic history, etymologies, poetry, stories, and the epistolary work of major writers such as Emily Dickinson, James Joyce, H.D., and William Carlos Williams, among others. Throughout the course, students will also explore the dynamic character of language through their own creative writing. Offered spring term even years. Three semester hours.
