Literacy for Instructional Leaders

This course provides an overview of effective literacy practices for instructional leaders. Topics covered in the course include evaluating instructional environments for effective literacy practices; aligning curriculum, instructional, and assessment for literacy instruction; culturally responsive practices in literacy instruction; using data for to make programmatic changes; effective literacy professional development; management of physical and human capital resources to leverage high quality literacy instruction. Three-credit hours. Offered each summer.
