Catalog description
A study of how language with all its components develops and provides the foundation for literacy learning. Emphasis is given to evidence-based, authentic literacy opportunities to promote reading, writing, listening, thinking, and speaking. The focus is on learning to use current methods and balanced strategies for designing instruction that includes all areas of literacy. Research of evidence-based literacy practices is required. Extensive field experience included. Three semester hours.
