Engaging Children through Diversified Strategies

Catalog description
A course preparing students for working with diverse student populations and focusing on the use of strategies which differentiate instruction to accommodate the learning styles, language proficiency, special needs, cultural influences, gender, and brain development of children four to fourteen years of age. The course concentrates on engaging all learners through the arts, through environmental design, and through research based instructional strategies. The course provides participants with a framework for using technology, web-based materials, and the arts as tools for engaging all learners. Field experience included. Offered spring term each year. Two semester hours.
