Catalog description
An introduction to Linux that focuses on foundational concepts and examines its applicability within cybersecurity, cloud development, supercomputing, open-source community, and industry. Topics include Linux file systems, BASH and Z shell, server deployment, process management, network management, system hardening, software management, cloud environments, system and end- user administration, security, and troubleshooting. This course is directed toward CompTIA Linux+ and LPIC-1 (Linux Professional Institute) certification. Offered fall term odd years. Three semester hours.
