Catalog description

An in-depth analysis of examining methodologies utilized by threat actors and measures of defense. This course addresses vulnerability assessments, reconnaissance activities, password auditing techniques, password cracking, privilege escalation, Windows and Linux enumeration, lateral movement, social engineering, and open-source intelligence gathering. A sincere emphasis is placed upon ethics, which students are expected to honor throughout their learning and career. Open to Cybersecurity majors and minors only or permission of the instructor. Prerequisites CS 320 and CS 360. Offered fall term each year. Three semester hours.
