Catalog description
An examination of human sexuality from physiological, psychological, cultural, and spiritual perspectives. The course is designed to develop students’ knowledge related to human sexuality, an understanding of the sexuality issues that may be encountered in counseling practice, exposure to the assessment and intervention skills required to deal with sexuality issues, and awareness of one’s personal perception, attitudes, and ethical considerations related to sexuality issues. Students will consider how sexuality issues are related to the individuals’ spiritual frameworks and belief systems. Offered as needed. Three semester hours.
