Catalog description
A continuation of COMM 284 with a focus on obtaining sound in a studio or field environment, editing, and manipulation of recorded material for content and time considerations. Topics include microphone selection and placement, remote and studio recording procedures, creation and use of sound effects, and news documentaries. Prerequisite: COMM 284 or consent of the instructor. Offered occasionally. Three semester hours.
