Catalog description
A course in the study of microbial organisms and including the preparation of media, sterilization, the isolation of microorganisms and their identification, culture, and staining. Topics covered in immunology will include definitions and relationships of antigens and antibodies, host-antigen interaction, bursal and thymic influences on lymphoid cells, and humoral and cellular response mechanisms. Prerequisite: C- or better in BIOL 111 and 112. Offered spring term each year. Four semester hours.
