Catalog description

This course will explore the role that microfinance institutions play in the development of the global economy. A study of the historical development and regulatory structure of microfinance will provide the foundation for the course. The course will then focus on three major areas: the relationship between microfinance institutions and their clientele, challenges facing the future development of microfinance institutions, and the theological implications of microfinance. Offered fall term each year. Three semester hours.
