A course at the beginning level for art majors and non-art majors. Emphases include color mixing, paint application techniques, knowledge of materials, and historical and contemporary approaches. Subject matter and projects vary from figure and still life to abstraction of non-figurative assignments. Offered spring term each year. Three semester hours.
